Inspection Services
The mission of the inspection services division is to provide comprehensive inspections to the facilities that the Office of State Fire Marshal is charged with inspecting. The purpose of conducting regular inspections is to ensure that continuity of services are maintained, thus ensuring that the facility complies with the consensus codes and standards for fire and life safety.
Inspection Services section offers a variety of services to the public and fire services. These services range from consultation services, inspection assistance, inspection and enforcement, training, emergency response disaster assistance. There are 15 Deputy State Fire Marshal's strategically placed throughout the state for immediate response to any call for assistance or emergency.

- Group Homes
- CTH/SLP Homes
- DDSN Work Activity Centers
- Explosives
- LP Gas
- Pyrotechnics
- Fire Equipment Dealers
The goal of the Office of State Fire Marshal is to preserve and to protect the states resources through inspection, review, consultation services, and regulatory responsibility. These activities help reduce the potential of increased liability, loss of jobs and loss of revenue due to fire.
