Thank you for your interest in the Volunteer Strategic Assistance and Fire Equipment (V-Safe) program.

The V-Safe program was set up in 2007 to provide a mechanism for volunteer and combination fire departments to request grants for the purpose of protecting local communities and regional response areas from incidents of fire, hazardous materials, terrorism, and to provide for the safety volunteer firefighters.

However, at this time, no funds were appropriated for the V-Safe program in FY2011.
